Integrating proven research based therapies with hypnotherapy:
Chris has overwhelming success and a thriving private practice with two offices - one in Lakewood, just west of downtown, and another in Golden. The practice is based on professional & client referrals who have experienced the changes and freedom that they were seeking when they entered therapy. The Transpersonal Hypnotherapy Foundation is a certified hypnotherapy program and is regulated by the state of Colorado.
The Integrative Psychotherapy Institute specializes in addiction recovery therapy, and has a proven track record with smoking-secession and weight loss hypnotherapy. Chris also has extensive experience and certification in Regression and Cellular Release therapies, and experience in Eye Movement Desensitization Response (EMDR). Please visit the pages dedicated to cellular release and regression therapy for more information.
Hypnotherapy is an effective method of addressing the subconscious fears and beliefs that stifle your creativity and decrease your quality of life. Hypnosis is completely safe and at the Integrative Psychotherapy Institute you can expect to see significant changes in your first 3 to 4 sessions. Hypnotherapist practitioners are trained to both induce hypnosis and use contemporary therapeutic methods to discuss and evaluate patients problems. 90% of all people can be hypnotized, and patients are always aware and in control of their conscious awareness during hypnosis. We will assess your comfort level and readiness for hypnosis when we have our first session. If hypnotherapy is the best way to resolve the issue at hand you can expect solid long-term results. Sometimes this type of therapy does not fit a client. If hypnotherapy is not a good fit for you I have a variety of other approaches that will.

Hypnosis is simply a deep state of relaxation. Hypnotherapy is similar to traditional therapy in many ways. Your practitioner is bound by the same rules and standards as a traditional therapist, and will always look out for your best interest. Most hypnotherapy sessions last between one and two hours. It is best if you come relaxed and try to avoid caffeine and other stimulants before your therapy. Most patients experience a strong sense of relief, and leave their hypnotherapy sessions feeling light and rested. If you would like more information or have questions please contact us today! We'd be happy to answer any of your questions about using hypnosis for therapy!
What is Hypnotherapy?
Eighty percent of our thoughts, feelings and responses are driven by our subconscious (SC). With this in mind it makes sense to move right to the source (SC), rather than spending excessive amounts of time in other modalities. This is why people experience such dramatic shifts & excelled growth from hypnotherapy.
Hypnotherapy uses deep physical and mental relaxation to guide you to the root of your problem. You are always safe, aware, and in charge.
In What areas is Hypnotherapy Helpful?
Physical or emotional trauma, co-dependency issues, addictions ,sexual abuse, career and sports performance, self confidence, fears and phobias, and healing the body, mind, and spirit.
Can Any Person be Hypnotized?
People of average intelligence (unless there is some type of organic brain damage) can be hypnotized if they are willing and open to the process. The depth of hypnosis varies and a receptive person can improve with practice.
Is Hypnosis Dangerous?
No. The induction is never dangerous. Content surfaces when the subject is ready and new information is only accepted by the (SC) if it's within the person's belief system and moral orientation. As in life, disappointments may arise because of unrealistic expectations or preconceived misinformation.
Is Hypnosis Medically Approved?
Yes. The American Medical Association and the American Psychiatric Association have approved hypnotherapy for use by professionally responsible individuals. The British Medical Association also adopted hypnosis as a viable therapeutic tool in 1958 ( the same year as the AMA). Hypnosis assists the physician by:
Reducing fear and panic in the patient before and after surgery.
Allowing the patient to recover with less pain medication while minimizing follow up phone calls/ office visits, and creating greater cost efficiency for all involved.
Medical Doctors have used hypnosis for over 2 centuries.
Chris also offers meditation workshops. Please Click Here or call for specifics. 303-514-7142
